How I Helped Transform An Organization by First Transforming Myself

Tuesday 8:00 – 9:15 AM

Session Description

You have heard it many times before – engagement matters. The elusive answer for most leaders lies in how to make it possible. The truth is that employees want to be engaged – they want their best ideas and creative suggestions to be acted upon. They want to bring their brains to work! The solution doesn’t so much lie with the employees as it does with their leaders. Cultures and leaders must be ENGAGING to enable employees to be engaged. Wish I had known that earlier in my leadership career. It would have made such a difference in how I approached challenges and, more importantly, how I treated the people that mattered to me the most.

Learning Objectives

  1. Define what separates an engaging leader from a “results only” leader
  2. Uncover five leadership myths that are pushing people away
  3. Enable skills that lead to a strong connection with employees

Eric Kulikowski, CPC

In his role as a senior Operations leader for Philips Respironics, Eric Kulikowski equipped and inspired a highly engaged team to become a world-class operation and the region’s employer of choice. A daily focus on quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale was the backbone of success. Industry Week Magazine and Assembly Magazine independently recognized his two western Pennsylvania assembly plants as being the best factories in North America in 2009 and 2011, respectively. As a professional coach, speaker and author within his business Dare to be Amazing, Eric inspires and equips leaders and business owners to make change possible. Businesses, entrepreneurs and individuals engage Eric because they want to discover proven ways to eliminate chaos that frustrates them, so they can focus on business growth rather than just survival.
